Southwestern Athletic Conference

The 2015 Southwestern Athletic Conference women's volleyball tournament will take place Friday, November 20 through Sunday, November 22 on the campus of Southern University in the Clifford Seymour Gymnasium and the Horace H. Moody Intramural Center.

The top eight teams based on SWAC divisional records qualify for the double elimination tournament. The team with the best record in their division is champion and earns the top seed.

This year marks the 27th year schools will participate in the league's tournament. The winner of the tournament receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Grambling State, Jackson State, Prairie View A&M, Southern and Texas Southern are the only teams to have captured the conference postseason title.

Last year, Alabama State claimed its second-straight SWAC championship, defeating host team Southern in straight sets to successfully defend the title.  In 2012, Jackson State won its second consecutive postseason title. And prior to JSU's consecutive wins, Alabama A&M had claimed the title for four consecutive years and 10 of the last 13 tournament championships.

The championship match will broadcast live on the SWAC Digital Network at 5:00 p.m. CST. Fans can follow live stats for all matches and check back for box scores and photos after the match's completion.
