BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Florida A&M’s Amani Kinon, Prairie View A&M’s Michaela Booker and Alabama A&M’s Laura Avila for SWAC Women’s Indoor Track and Field Weekly Awards.
Track
Kinon finished in first place (38.89) in the 300 meters at the UAB Blazer Invitational this past week.
Field
Booker threw 13.98m in the shot put for a personal best while putting her 1
st in the SWAC this season.
Newcomer
Avila broke the AAMU school record in the 3000 meters at the Vulcan Invitational on Saturday registering a time of 10:36.49 to finish fourth.
