BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Florida A&M’s Tara Bert and Bethune-Cookman’s Victor Kibet its Cross Country Runners of the Week for their outstanding performances during competition this past week.

Women’s Runner of the Week
Bert slashed nearly two minutes of her previous personal record in the 5K, clocking in at an impressive 18:54.0 to finish 51^st overall out of 151 runners. 

Men’s Runner of the Week
Kibet once again led the Wildcats with a 23^rd place finish out 107 runners this past week of competition. He completed the 8k race with a time of 25:31.3.

Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, and Tennis.

Women’s competition is offered in the sports of Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, and Volleyball.
