Championship Information
The 2019 Bowling Championship will take place March 22-24 at the Bowling ITRC in Arlington, Texas.
The ITRC is the only training facility that sends athletes to international tournaments representing Team USA. There's a staff of world-class coaches, atop-of-the-line pro shop and a fully equipped fitness center. It's a facility equipped with 14 dedicated training lanes, biomechanical motion tracking, DigiTrax TM ball motion technology, video analysis from robotic cameras, BowlersMap TM, foot and grip pressure mapping, state-of-the-art robotics and eye tracking of the bowler's vision.
This season marks the first time in league history where the tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Bowling Championship.
Last year, Texas Southern defeat Jackson State in a classic encounter, claiming its first championship in more than a decade with a 190-189 victory in the final game.
The opening round of the championships takes place Friday at noon (qualifying round) with teams competing for seeding, while Saturday and Sunday will feature a Baker format (best 4 of 7) with the top two seeds receiving a bye to open competition on Sunday.
The championship match will be rebroadcast on ESPN on Sunday, March 31 at 9:30 am.
