SWAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards: Apr. 23

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Alabama State’s Aliyah Williams and Erica McGary, Bethune-Cookman’s Kasie Ugeh and Southern’s Sahnya Lathon for SWAC Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards. 
 
Track
Williams was the meet champion at the Georgia Tech Invitational 800m with a 2:06.63.
 
Co-Field
Ugeh saw a program record fall as she recorded a second-place finish in the Javelin with a 41.97m throw at the ERAU Blue and Gold Classic
 
Co-Field
Lathon won the high jump and triple jump at the Strawberry Relays this past week of competition.
 
Newcomer
McGary set a new school record in the discus throw with a toss of 47.92m.
