BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Southern’s Tashina Alase and Ariyonna Edmond along with Jackson State’s Malayna Mallory for SWAC Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards.
Track
Alase won the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.01, ranking 5
th in the East Region and 8
th in the nation.
Field
Edmond set PRs in the shot put (13.37m/43'10.5'') and hammer throw (52.57m/172'6'') to win both events at the Pelican Relays.
Newcomer
Mallory set a new personal best in hammer throw with a distance of 53.57 meters at the Joe Walker Invite.
