SWAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards: Apr. 9

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Glorie Kabuin, Bethune-Cookman’s Kasie Ugeh and Jackson State’s Malayna Mallory for SWAC Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards. 
 
Track
Kabuin had an impressive showing in the 10,000 meters for Arkansas-Pine Bluff finishing with a time of 40:31.59.
 
Field
Ugeh enjoyed a historic weekend at the ERAU Classic, delivering a first-place school record finish in the discus at 49.0m. She also finished first in the shot-put at 13.87m.
 
Newcomer
The Tigers recorded several personal bests, with Mallory earning a team-high three new personal records during this past week of competition.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) is considered one of the premier HBCU conferences in the country and currently ranks among the elite in the nation in terms of HBCU alumni playing with professional sports teams.

Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, and Tennis.
