BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Prairie View A&M maintained its lead following the second round of the 2026 SWAC Women’s Golf Championship, held Tuesday at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley (Ridge Course).
Prairie View A&M recorded a team score of 317 (+29) in round two and remains in first place overall. Texas Southern is in second place with a round score of 327 (+39), while Alabama State sits in third after posting a 323 (+35). Jackson State (328, +40), Southern (335, +47), and Bethune-Cookman (345, +57) round out the team standings after two rounds of play.
Individually, Prairie View A&M’s Fernanda Rendon posted the lowest round of the day with a 76 (+4) to lead the field. Alabama State’s Kierra Williams is in a tie for second after shooting a 78 (+6), while Prairie View A&M’s Kacey Menyoli and Bethune-Cookman’s Lathika Krishna are also among the top performers with rounds of 80 (+8) and 77 (+5), respectively.
Alabama State’s Carmen Fletcher and Jackson State’s Isabella Christy each recorded rounds of 78 (+6), placing them among the top competitors after the second round. Prairie View A&M’s Micajah Joubert and Texas Southern’s Carmen Pate also remain within the leading group after posting scores of 79 (+7) and 80 (+8), respectively.
The final day of competition (Apr. 15) is slated to be broadcast live on
SWAC TV with event coverage beginning at 9:00 am CST.
