SWAC Announces Men's Golf Postseason Awards

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference men’s golf individual regular season final standings were led by a dominant group of performers, with Florida A&M setting the pace during the 2026 season.
 
Florida A&M’s Phalatphon Viboonviriyasakul headlines the conference rankings, holding the No. 1 spot after an impressive campaign. The Rattlers continue to showcase their depth at the top, as teammates Sascha Robinson and Emilio Garcia rank second and third respectively, giving Florida A&M a commanding presence among the league’s elite.
 
Alabama State’s Wesley Bairros leads the Hornets’ contingent with a fourth-place standing, while teammate Robert Woods follows closely behind in fifth, highlighting Alabama State’s strong positioning within the conference individual standings race.
 
Prairie View A&M’s Blake Meredith checked in at No. 6, continuing a solid season, while Alabama A&M’s Vicente Rodriguez emerged as a key contributor with a seventh-place ranking.
 
Florida A&M placed a fourth golfer in the top 10 as Miguel Ilas claimed the No. 8 spot, further emphasizing the program’s depth this season. Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Timur Alalin sits ninth overall, while Prairie View A&M’s Kenneth Melendrez rounds out the top 10.
 
With postseason play approaching, the race for conference post-championship individual honors will remain competitive.
