SWAC Men's Golf Championship Day Two Recap

Men's Day Three Pairings     Men's Day Two Results 

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Arkansas-Pine Bluff remained atop the leaderboard following the second round of the 2026 SWAC Men’s Golf Championship, held Tuesday at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley (Ridge Course).
 
Arkansas-Pine Bluff posted a team score of 299 (+11) in round two to maintain its position in first place. Texas Southern recorded the lowest team score of the day with a 289 (+1) and moved into second place overall, while Florida A&M sits in third after posting a 299 (+11).
 
Alabama State (296, +8) is in fourth, followed by Alabama A&M (304, +16) in fifth. Prairie View A&M (295, +7), Jackson State (320, +32), and Southern (320, +32) round out the team standings after two rounds.
 
Individually, Texas Southern’s Yashal Shah recorded an even-par 72 to lead the field overall. Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Jonathon Baumann followed with a 74 (+2), while Alabama A&M’s Vicente Rodriguez also posted a 74 (+2). TSU's Javier Vazquez posted an impressive  69 (-3) in the second round of competition.  
 
A group tied for fourth includes Alabama A&M’s Samuel Boddie and Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Jules De Reu, each carding rounds of 76 (+4) and 74 (+2), respectively. Several players from Alabama State, Florida A&M, and Prairie View A&M are clustered near the top of the leaderboard with scores ranging from even par to the mid-70s.

The final day of competition (Apr. 15) is slated to be broadcast live on SWAC TV with event coverage beginning at 9:00 am CST.
