Final Results Watch Replay
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Florida A&M Rattlers claimed the 2026 SWAC Women’s Indoor Track and Field title on Sunday marking the programs second championship in the past three seasons.
Florida A&M amassed 131 total points to claim first place followed by Alabama State (124), and Southern (74) who claimed second and third place respectively.
Alabama A&M’s women’s 4x400 meter relay team capped off an impressive display of performances by the Lady Bulldogs (3:41.78) as they claimed first place in the event.
Florida A&M’s Garfield Ellenwood II was named the Women’s Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year for his efforts in leading the Rattlers to the title. Arkansas-Pine Bluff's Cornelia Watts tallied 18 total individual points as she was named Most Outstanding Field Performer while Florida A&M’s Tara Bert contributed 26 total individual points to claim the Most Outstanding Track Performer award.
A total of three women’s all-time records were broken at this year’s event with Texas Southern’s Alyvia Brown (3000m), Southern’s Tashina Alase (60m Hurdles) and Alabama State’s Daedrian Beville (Triple Jump) setting new league marks.
