SWAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Honors: May 1

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Texas Southern’s Cesley Williams and Southern’s Aja Gore for SWAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances this past week of competition.

Women’s Newcomer/Track Athlete of the Week
Williams ran a personal-best 54.46 in the 400 to place eighth and ranks second in the SWAC. 
 
Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Gore threw her personal best in the shot put, 14.19m (46'6.75"), and threw 48.69m (159'9") in the hammer throw during the LSU Alumni Gold Meet.
