Jackson State Falls to Alabama 8-0

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The Jackson State softball team opened play in the Tuscaloosa Regional of the NCAA Softball Championship Tournament Friday evening against host team Alabama. The Tigers fell 8-0 in five innings.

Brooklyn Morris (13-9) started and took the loss in the circle for Jackson State .

In the batter's box, the Tigers were led by freshman Jace Jackson, who went 1-for-2 on the day.

  • Alabama was led offensively by Kali Heivilin, who went 2 for 3 with two RBIs.
  •  Winstead led the Crimson Tide pitching staff, throwing four scoreless innings.

UP NEXT
The Tigers will take on Belmont Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Rhoads Stadium.
