BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Prairie View A&M’s Keonna Otis, Alabama A&M’s Lalia Gaynor and Florida A&M’s Kirah Copeland for SWAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances this past week of competition.
Otis claimed the top spot in the shot put with a throw of 13.99 meters, leading a strong showing in the field.
Gaynor had a huge day at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational last week, winning the 400m and finishing second in the 200m.
Copeland had an impressive win in the 400-meter dash (56.49) at the Gamecock Challenge this past week.
