BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Alabama State’s Alana Scott and Kohana Pousson along with Bethune-Cookman’s Jasmine Manebo, for SWAC Softball Weekly Awards.
Hitter
Scott hit .615 over four starts while leading the Hornets to a 3-1 record this week. She had three triples, a home run, and five RBI while slugging 1.308 with a 667 on-base percentage.
Pitcher
Pousson made two appearances with one start, posting a 2-0 record to help ASU go 3-1 this week. She had. 0.00 ERA over 10.0 innings with 11 strikeouts, three walks, and two unearned runs allowed.
Newcomer
In a series sweep over Alabama A&M, Mañebo was a significant force at the plate. She finished 6-for-7 in the three games while hitting her second home run of the season.
