Tournament Bracket
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced its 2026 SWAC Softball Tournament seedings following the conclusion of regular season play.
Florida A&M (19-5 SWAC) enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed from the Eastern Division, followed by No. 2 seed Jackson State (16-8 SWAC), No. 3 seed Bethune-Cookman (16-8 SWAC), and No. 4 seed Alabama State (15-9 SWAC).
Prairie View A&M (19-4) claims the No. 1 seed from the Western Division. Southern (18-6 SWAC) secured the No. 2 seed, followed by No. 3 seed Texas Southern (17-6 SWAC) and No. 4 seed Arkansas-Pine Bluff (7-15 SWAC).
In the event of a tie in conference records, the league’s tiebreaker policy was used to determine final seedings.
The tournament will be played in a double-elimination format with action set to begin at 10:30 a.m. CST on Tuesday, May 5, with games scheduled to run through May 8.
If necessary, the championship game is scheduled for Saturday, May 9 at the Gulfport Sportsplex in Gulfport, Miss. All tournament games will be available live on SWAC TV.

Game 1 – (E2) Jackson State vs. (W3) Texas Southern, 10:30 a.m.
Game 2 – (W2) Southern vs. (E3) Bethune-Cookman, 1:00 p.m.
Game 3 – (W1) Prairie View A&M vs. (E4) Alabama State, 3:30 p.m.
Game 4 – (E1) Florida A&M vs. (W4) Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 6
