BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Texas Southern’s Taliyah Logwood and Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Khaniah Gardner for SWAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards.
Player/ Newcomer
Logwood was impressive during this past week of competition as she led the league in points per game. She averaged 32.5 points per game to go along with 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 64 percent from three-point range.
Impact
Gardner averaged nearly a double-double in a pair of victories for the Lady Lions during this past week of league competition. She shot 65 percent (17-of-26) from the floor while averaging 20.5 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game.
