SWAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Awards: Jan. 14

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Jackson State’s Sedgwrick Pitts Jr., Bethune-Cookman’s Andrew Kiplagat and Texas Southern’s Christopher Johnson for SWAC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Weekly Awards. 
 
Co-Track

Pitts won the 200m dash with a time of 21.14. His time is currently ninth in Division I rankings and 11th in the NCAA rankings.

Co-Track
Kiplagat contributed a program record first-place finish in the 3000m with a time of 8:18.68 on Saturday at the South Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex.
 
Field/Newcomer
Johnson jumped a personal and SWAC-best 24-5.75 feet as he posted the mark in his sixth and final attempt.
