Texas Southern Claims 2025 SWAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Title

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Texas Southern Tigers claimed to 2025 SWAC Men’s Indoor Track and Field title on Sunday at the Birmingham Crossplex winning in spectacular fashion as the championship also marked back-to-back titles for the Tigers.
 
The Tigers amassed 100 total points at the event behind strong field performances on day one of the event and impressive individual and team performances on day two. Jackson State (93 points) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (89 points) finished in second and third place respectively. 
 
Texas Southern’s Clyde Duncan was named the 2025 SWAC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year for his efforts in leading the Tigers to the title. 
 
Jackson State's Ledamian Rowell was named the 2025 SWAC Men’s Most Outstanding Field Performer after tallying 18 total individual points.
 
Jackson State’s Andrew Kiplagat and Florida A&M’s Kirk Dawkins were named Men’s Co-Most Outstanding Track Performers after contributing 21.25 points each for their respective teams.
