BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The opening day of the 2025 SWAC Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Championships concluded with Alabama A&M and Texas Southern leading their fields on the women’s and men’s side respectively.
On the women’s side Alabama A&M sits atop the leaderboard with 37 total points. Texas Southern (29.5 points) and Florida A&M (29 points) sit in second and third place respectively.
Texas Southern currently sits in first place with 51 total points on the men’s side. Jackson State (40 points) and Alabama A&M (28 points) sit in second and third place respectively.
Day two of competition will begin at 8:30 am CST with the Men’s Heptathlon 60 meter hurdles.
