BATON ROUGE, La.- The Texas Southern Tigers claimed the 2025 SWAC Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship title with standout individual performances.
Jackson State’s Godfrey Kimutai, was named the 2025 SWAC Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Most Outstanding Track Performer. Texas Southern’s Jalen Walker claimed Most Outstanding Field Performer honors.
Texas Southern head coach Clyde Duncan was named the SWAC Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year after leading Texas Southern to titles in Cross Country along with Indoor Track and Field and Outdoor Track and Field.
TSU also claimed back-to-back trifectas in league competition in the sports of Men’s Cross Country, Men’s Indoor Track and Field and Men’s Outdoor Track and Field.
Texas Southern led all teams in competition with 136 points. Jackson State claimed 125 points finishing in second place. Alabama State finished in third place amassing 93 points.
