BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Texas Southern’s Alyvia Brown, Alabama A&M’s Amaya Mitchell-Howard, and Prairie View A&M’s Nikiyah Williams for SWAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances this past week of competition.
Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Brown set the new high performance mark in the Women’s 5,000 meter run this past week (17:43.70).
Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Mitchell-Howard set the new high performance mark in the Women’s Hammer throw this past week (54.89 meters).
Women’s Newcomer of the Week
Williams set a personal record of 57.58 in the 400 meters at the Litte Rock Invitational.
