BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced revised 2025 SWAC Football Postseason Individual Awards.
Jackson State’s Jared Lockhart has been named 2025 SWAC Football Co-Freshman of the Year along with Prairie View A&M’s Chase Bingmon.
Due to an administrative error in the final vetting of the nominations submitted the two recipients that received the highest number of total votes (Lockhart/Bingmon) will both be recognized for the 2025 Freshman of the Year award.
The Southwestern Athletic Conference will continue to work in conjunction with league membership to ensure that preventive measures are implemented in order to avoid any discrepancies regarding awards in the future.
