Grambling State Outlast Florida A&M 14-11 to Claim Title Game Berth

ATLANTA, Ga.- The Grambling State Tigers outlasted the Florida A&M Rattlers in a semifinals game winning by a score of 14-11.
 
Grambling State’s Cameron Bufford put forth an electrifying performance as he tallied five RBIs on two hits. His most impactful hit of the game came in the top of the ninth inning as he broke an 11-11 tie with a three-run home run to give the Tigers a lead they would not relinquish.  
 
GSU’s Tiger Borom was a key contributor for the Tigers during the win as he tallied three hits and three RBIs. Grambling State’s Phillip Bryant stepped in and delivered an impressive display on the mound in relief effort. Bryant pitched two inning and did not allow a run to cross home plate.
 
Florida A&M’s memorable season came to a close with the loss to Grambling State. FAMU was paced at the plated by Sebastian Grieco’s three RBIs on two hits. The Rattlers Cody Williams was saddled with the loss after allowing five earned runs during 5.1 innings of work.
 
Grambling State will face Jackson State in the 2024 SWAC Baseball Tournament Championship game tomorrow at 1:00 pm EST live on ESPN+.
