SWAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors: Dec. 26

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Bethune-Cookman’s Reggie Ward Jr. and Brayon Freeman along with Alcorn State’s Keionte Cornelius for SWAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances this past week.

Ward was the driving force behind one of the best B-CU Men's Basketball wins in program history as the Wildcats took down the USF Bulls, 77-69, on the road. He led all scorers with 19 on 7-10 shooting, and a 4-4 mark form the free throw line.

Cornelius was a key contributor for Alcorn State during this past week of competition. He averaged 18 points per game while leading the Braves in scoring for the week.

Freeman also played a critical part in the Wildcats upset win over USF. In an average of 32 minutes per game, Freeman chipped in 32 points, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals over the pair of road contests.
