BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Florida A&M's Dylan Horton and Texas Southern's Andriana Avent for SWAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances during this past week of conference play.
Player of the Week
Horton averaged 24.0 points per game while shooting 43-percent from the field during Florida A&M’s last two outings. Against Arkansas-Pine Bluff she scored 22 points and collected five rebounds. Horton scored 26 points versus Mississippi Valley State while tallying five rebounds and two assists. She currently leads the conference in scoring averaging 25.4 points per game.
Impact Player of the Week
Avent had two high-scoring performances as she averaged 24.0 points per game this past week. She scored 25 points to go along with seven rebounds, and a steal during TSU's outing at Alcorn State. Against Jackson State, Avent contributed 23 points, three rebounds, three steals, and one assist.
