BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference continued to maintain a strong presence in the Black College Football Poll, with six league programs ranked or receiving votes in the Week Four Division I FCS poll.
Jackson State and Alabama State lead the conference at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Jackson State received 440 points after holding its position from the previous week, while Alabama State remained third with 420 points.
Alabama A&M jumps to No. 5 with 292 points, followed closely by Prairie View A&M at No. 6 with 276 points.
Alcorn State moves to No. 8 with 174 points, while Grambling State drops at No. 9 with 60 points. The Braves and Tigers give the SWAC six programs represented among the poll's Top 10.
Bethune-Cookman also received votes this week, collecting 28 votes.
