BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference will be represented by five championship entries at the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for June 10-13 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
Southern's Tashina Alase, Alabama State's Daedrian Beville, Alabama A&M's Justin Walker, Florida A&M's Leonard Mustari, and the Florida A&M women's 4x100-meter relay team all secured berths to the national championship meet following their performances at the NCAA East First Round competition in Lexington, Kentucky.
Alase enters the NCAA Championships after an outstanding season in the women's 100-meter hurdles. The Southern standout posted one of the nation's top times during the 2026 campaign and advanced through the East Regional to earn a place in Eugene.
Beville will represent Alabama State in the women's triple jump after qualifying for the national championship field, while Walker earned a berth in the men's long jump to give Alabama A&M representation on the national stage.
Florida A&M will send a total of five competitors to Eugene, highlighted by Leonard Mustari in the men's 110-meter hurdles and the Rattlers' women's 4x100-meter relay team comprised of Janaree Kinchen, Diandrenique Gaines, Kiersten Clark, and Arayana Ladson. The relay squad advanced to the NCAA Championships following a strong performance at the East Preliminary Round.
The NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships will begin on Wednesday, June 10, and conclude on Saturday, June 13, at historic Hayward Field. National champions will be crowned in each event over the four-day competition.
