SWAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards: May 6

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Bethune-Cookman’s Andrew Kiplagat and Michael Carter along with Prairie View A&M’s De'Trevyon Goudeau for SWAC Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards. 

Track
Kiplagat capped off a historic regular season at the Maroon and Gold with another program-record performance, this time in the men's 5000 meter run. Competing at the East Coast Relays, the distance standout crossed the line in a school-record time of 14:22.20 to claim a first-place finish in the event.
 
Field
Carter delivered a first-place performance for the Wildcats, winning the men's long jump with a mark of 7.77 meters to lead the field and secure the conference weekly honor.
 
Newcomer
Goudeau finished third in the 400m with a time of 46.61 at the TCU Horned Frog Invitational.
