SWAC Baseball Weekly Awards: May 6

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Grambling State’s Cameron Hill along with Jackson State’s Talmadge Davis and Jayden Lopez for SWAC Baseball Weekly Awards. 

Hitter
Hill was a significant contributor for the Tigers during their weekend sweep of Florida A&M. He batted .636 (7-for-11) in the series with 11 RBI, two home runs (including a grand slam) and one double. 
 
Pitcher
Davis recorded his second consecutive complete game holding Alcorn State to just one hit - a sixth inning double - and allowed just six base runners (three walks and two hit batters) in the win on Saturday. He recorded a career-high 15 strikeouts, striking out the side in the ninth inning to end the game.
 
Newcomer
Lopez went 7.0 innings allowing just one unearned run on five hits with 15 strikeouts on Sunday against Alcorn State.
