BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Texas Southern’s Daeja Holmes, Grambling State’s Shaniah Nunn and Alabama A&M’s Rakiyah Beal for SWAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards.
Player
Holmes shined for the Lady Tigers as she led her team with 17.0 points per game during the two non-conference outings.
Impact
Nunn was a key contributor for Grambling State as she averaged 12.0 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game during the three non-conference outings.
Newcomer
Beal tied a career high with 12 points in Alabama A&M's game against Minnesota. She played just over 34 minutes and was 5-for-11 shooting, with a pair of 3-pointers.
