Alabama State Claims Back-to-Back Women's Cross Country Titles

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Alabama State Women's Cross Country team claimed back-to-back SWAC Women’s Cross Country Championship titles on Monday at Apalachee Regional Park.
 
Texas Southern’s Alyvia Brown won the individual women’s title finishing the race with a time of 18:17.8. Individually Alabama State's Aliyah Williams and Ann Badawi finished in second and third place respectively in the final individual rankings for the event.
 
Alabama State’s Aliyah Williams paced the Lady Hornets finishing first on the team with a time of 18:22.0.

Alabama A&M and Texas Southern finished in second and third place respectively in the final team standings for the event.
