SWAC Soccer Weekly Awards: Oct. 21

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Grambling State’s Giulia Altomare, Prairie View A&M’s Niasia Goodwin, Alcorn State’s Larissa Joso Luma and Jackson State’s Taylor Osborn its Soccer Players of the Week for their outstanding performances this past week.
 
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Altomare delivered one of her best performances of the season scoring two goals on two shots on goal in just 65 minutes of action.
 
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Goodwin scored two goals this weekend, one of them being the game winning goal against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Luma anchored a Alcorn State defense that earned a clean sheet against Jackson State.
 
Goalkeeper of the Week
Osborn contributed seven keys saves for Jackson State during the Lady Tigers outing versus Alcorn State. 
 
Newcomer of the Week
Altomare delivered one of her best performances of the season scoring two goals on two shots on goal in just 65 minutes of action.
