This past season the Southwestern Athletic Conference crowned champions in 18 sports. In what was a remarkable athletic year, we look back at the teams that emerged as league champions. Our next flashback features the 2024 SWAC Women's Golf Champions, Alabama State University. 

Final Results 

FLOWOOD, Miss.- The Alabama State Lady Hornets claimed the 2024 SWAC Women’s Golf Championship finishing round three in spectacular fashion.

Led by Bamboo Kittyanaruewat the Lady Hornets shot a final round 313 (+25) to finish four strokes ahead of second place Bethune-Cookman.
 
Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M finished the event in third and fourth place respectively.
 
Individually Bethune-Cookman’s Katie Robinson claimed Low Medalist honors while Alabama State’s Lucia Ibanez took home Freshman Low Medalist honors. 
 
Bethune-Cookman head coach Harry Stokes and Alabama State head coach Quincy Heard were named Co-Coach of the Year.

Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field and Tennis.

Women’s competition is offered in the sports of Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, Soccer, Softball, Tennis and Volleyball.
