The Southern Jaguars will travel to face the Alcorn State Braves in the 2019 Cricket Wireless SWAC Football Championship slated to be held on Saturday, December 7^th at 3:00 pm (CST) at Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium in Lorman, Miss.
 
Alcorn State defeated Southern 27-13 at home earlier this season marking the Jaguars only league loss during the 2019 campaign.
 
The Braves solidified the rights to host the championship game with a 41-6 win over Jackson State in their last outing on November 23.
 
The Southern Jaguars punched their ticket to the championship game with an impressive 30-28 comeback win over the Grambling State Tigers at the Bayou Classic this past weekend. 
 
This year’s title game is a rematch of the 2018 championship game where the Braves claimed the SWAC crown with a 37-28 win at home over the Jaguars. Saturday’s contest is scheduled to be broadcast live on ESPNU.
