SWAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships Day One Recap

BATON ROUGE, La.- The opening day of the 2025 SWAC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships concluded with Southern and Texas Southern leading their fields on the women’s and men’s side respectively.
 
On the women’s side Southern sits atop the leaderboard with 33 total points. Alabama A&M (19 points) and Texas Southern (18 points) sit in second and third place respectively.
 
Texas Southern currently sits in first place with 26 total points on the men’s side. Jackson State (20 points) and Alabama A&M (15 points) sit in second and third place respectively.
 
Day two of competition will begin at 9:30 am CST with the Decathlon 110 meter hurdles.

The final day of competition (May 13) will be streamed live on the SWAC Digital Network beginning at 5:00 pm CST with the women’s 4x100 meter relay event.
