Prairie View A&M’s Goff Appointed to NCAA FCS Oversight Committee

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Prairie View A&M University Athletic Director Anton Goff has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Football Championship Series (FCS) Oversight Committee for a term which began on August 29, 2024, and continues through June 30, 2027.
 
“This appointment is a great opportunity and I am truly honored to be on the FCS Oversight Committee,” said Goff. 
 
The FCS Oversight Committee supervises the qualifications and/or selection procedures for the FCS Championship, along with other matters involving the Championship. The committee also provides direction to the NCAA Football Rules Committee regarding playing rules at the Division I FCS level.
 
The FCS Oversight Committee consists of 17 members from the FCS at-large with one member from each FCS conference. Committee members will have the opportunity to enhance the development of FCS football, prioritizing a well-rounded student-athlete experience, student-athletes personal growth, and leadership development.
 
The Football Oversight Committee will also make recommendations related to regular-season and postseason football, enhance the student-athlete educational experience promote student-athletes' personal growth and leadership development, and work in conjunction with appropriate governance entities to provide solutions to issues impacting the health and safety of football student-athletes.

Women’s competitions are offered in the sports of Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, and Volleyball.
