SWAC Cross Country Runners of the Week: Sept. 11

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Alabama State’s Ann Badawi and Prairie View A&M’s Noah Green its Cross Country Runners of the Week for their outstanding performances during competition this past week.

Women’s Runner of the Week
Badawi finished sixth with a 19:35 to lead three Alabama State runners in the top 10 at The Opener hosted by Mississippi College last weekend. 

Men’s Runner of the Week
Green finished 11th at the UT Tyler XC Invitational in the men's 4-mile race, clocking a time of 21:16.00, leading the Panthers to a 3rd place team finish overall.

Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, and Tennis.

Women’s competition is offered in the sports of Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, and Volleyball.
