Heflin is a Richmond, Virginia native who is a driven and dedicated Sports Management professional with a strong background in athletics communications, event management, and operations.
He is an Old Dominion University alumnus who obtained his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a minor in Marketing from Old Dominion University. Heflin has gained practical experience through a variety of roles within collegiate athletics.
Before joining the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), he worked with prominent programs within Old Dominion University athletics such as ODU Men’s Basketball, ODU Football, and the Old Dominion University Athletics Department.
Ultimately, Heflin's diverse skill set, and hands-on experience will help contribute to a streamlined, well-executed, and highly organized environment, helping the Conference Office reach its goals and maintain its reputation for excellence in collegiate athletics.
