Belton currently serves as a Sports Administration Intern with the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), where she supports conference operations and initiatives while gaining valuable professional experience in collegiate athletics administration.
A May 2026 graduate of Alabama A&M University, Belton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sports Management. Her academic background, combined with four years of Division I basketball experience, has provided her with a unique understanding of student-athlete development, team dynamics, leadership, and the day-to-day operations of collegiate athletics.
Belton’s connection to the SWAC began as a student-athlete, competing at both Texas Southern University and Alabama A&M University. Her journey through the conference gave her firsthand insight into the student-athlete experience and strengthened her passion for serving the member institutions, teams, and student-athletes that make up the SWAC. During her collegiate career at Alabama A&M, she was recognized as a SWAC Sixth Woman and contributed to a championship team.
As she transitions from student-athlete to athletics professional, Belton is committed to using her experiences and education to contribute to the continued growth and advancement of the SWAC. She is particularly passionate about collegiate athletics, student-athlete experiences, conference operations, and creating opportunities that positively impact the next generation of student-athletes.
Belton is excited to begin her professional career within the conference that played such an important role in her collegiate journey and looks forward to contributing to the continued success and legacy of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
