Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited inside Bill Harris Arena: Backpacks, pocket knives, weapons of any kind including concealed permits, laser pointers, outside food or beverage, coolers, tablet devices larger than 7 inches, fireworks, frisbees, beach balls, spurs, artificial noisemakers including cowbells, clappers, thundersticks, horns and whistles.

Sign Policy

The SWAC reserves the right to limit the size of hand-held signage (typically no larger than one person can hold) and remove signage that includes commercial logos or does not convey the ideals of college athletics. Signage deemed to block the view of other guests will be removed.

ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2019 Toyota SWAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will be held at the Bill Harris Arena located at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Friday, March 15, through Saturday, March 16. 

Texas Southern claimed the title in 2018 after defeating Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the championship game, 84-69. On the women's side Grambling State defeated Southern in the championship game by a score of 72-68.
