JSU Claims First Regular Season Title Since 2016

  Day Two Results  

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- After another undefeated day of competition, the Jackson State women's bowling team claimed the 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) regular season championship with a impressive 22-2 record against conference opponents.

It marks the Tigers first regular season title since 2016 while subsequently clinching the No. 1 seed for JSU at the 2026 SWAC Women's Bowling Tournament. The Tigers continued their high-level play in day two with an 878-775 victory over the Southern Jaguars in their first match of the day.

JSU went on to defeat the Alabama A&M Bulldogs (870-851) and the Florida A&M Rattlers (980-780) in the next two games. Jackson State wrapped up the day with wins over Alabama State (867-826) and Grambling State (885-547) to secure the title.

With one more day of competition to go, three Tigers find themselves in the top 10. Faith Washington remains in the third-place spot with a 188.50 average and 1,881 total pins, followed by Tiara Henderson and MacKenzie Conway at the sixth and seventh spots.

The newly crowned champions wrap up the final day of the SWAC East Roundup on Sunday morning, beginning at 10 am CST.
