BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Prairie View A&M’s Dontae Horne, Jackson State’s Daeshun Ruffin and Grambling State’s Jamil Muttilib for SWAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards.
Player
Horne led all league scorers in points per game during this past week of competition. He averaged 36.0 points per game while pacing Prairie View A&M offensively.
Impact
Ruffin was impressive this past week as he led Jackson State offensively. He averaged 26.5 points per game during JSU outings against Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman.
Newcomer
Muttilib was a key contributor for Grambling State during this past week of competition. He averaged 25.5 points per game to go along with 6.0 rebounds per game for the Tigers.
