SWAC Men's Basketball Weekly Awards: Feb. 10

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Bethune-Cookman’s Jakobi Heady, Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Quion Williams, Jackson State’s Jayme Mitchell Jr. and Mississippi Valley State’s Michael James for SWAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards. 
 
Player

Heady averaged 23.0 points and 7.0 rebounds across the two-game stretch while shooting an efficient 46 percent from the field and 86 percent at the free-throw line. He also added 1.5 assists per game, helping power B-CU on the offensive end of the floor.
 
Co-Impact

Williams played a pivotal role in helping UAPB earn victories over Jackson State and Alcorn State. Over the two games, he averaged 22.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game, while also shooting efficiently from the perimeter. 
 
Co-Impact
Mitchell was a key contributor for Jackson State during this past week of competition. He averaged a team leading 26.0 points per game to go along with 10.5 rebounds per game.

Newcomer 
James averaged a league leading 30.0 points per game during this past week of competition for Mississippi Valley State. He shot an efficient 50 percent from the field and 33 percent from beyond the arc.
