BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Jackson State’s Daeshun Ruffin, Bethune-Cookman Doctor Bradley and Texas Southern’s Troy Hupstead for SWAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards.
Player
Ruffin was impressive offensively in a pair of games against Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman. He averaged a league leading 24.5 points per game as JSU went 1-1 during the week.
Impact
Bradley was a significant presence on both ends of the floor for Bethune-Cookman this past week of competition. He averaged a team leading 18.05 points per game to go along with 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
Newcomer
Hupstead helped pace the Tigers offensively in both contests this past week. He averaged 13.5 points per game while also contributing 11.0 rebounds per game.
