BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Bethune-Cookman’s Maleek Huggins, Max Tulen, and Khamani Robinson along with Prairie View A&M’s Trevor Randle for SWAC Football Weekly Awards.
Offensive
Huggins hauled in six receptions for a career-high 177 yards and two touchdowns, including a career-long of 82 yards against Edward Waters this past weekend.
Defensive
Randle filled the stat sheet with 14 tackles (four solo, ten assists) to go along with a key interception for the Panthers during their non-conference win over Northwestern State.
Specialist
Tulen was a key member of the B-CU special teams’ unit on Saturday. In his fourth game as the Wildcats' starting punter, he punted five times for 231 yards with a long of 55. He placed three kicks inside the 20.
Newcomer
Robinson had a breakout game against EWU. On 12 rushing attempts, he racked up 114 yards with a touchdown, including a 75-yard breakaway score.
