HBCU Sports Announces 2025 Award Winners

This past Saturday presented a time to celebrate and honor all the remarkable achievements and people in Black College sports with the 2025 HBCU Sports Awards.

Hosted by the HBCU Sports crew, the virtual show recognized student-athletes in 23 categories, administrators in 10 categories, and coaches in 12 other categories from across the HBCU landscape.

The HBCU Sports Awards also presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to men and women contributors.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) is considered one of the premier HBCU conferences in the country and currently ranks among the elite in the nation in terms of HBCU alumni playing with professional sports teams.
 
Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field and Tennis.

Women’s competition is offered in the sports of Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, Soccer, Softball, Tennis and Volleyball.
