ARLINGTON, Texas- The Prairie View A&M Panthers bowling team, claimed the tournament title at the 2025 SWAC Bowling Championships.

Facing off against the Southern Jaguars, the Panthers overcame a challenging start to secure a 4-2 win in a competitive baker best-of-7 match.

The Panthers demonstrated resilience and skill throughout the tournament. Despite losing the first game to the Jaguars, Prairie View A&M bounced back to win the second, third, and fourth games.

Southern managed to claim the fifth game, setting the stage for a dramatic finish in which PVAMU clinched the victory.

The triumph was highlighted by significant individual accolades. Amani Moore and Jayda Gordon were named to the SWAC All-Tournament Team. PVAMU's Jalyne Myers was named the SWAC Tournament Most Valuable Bowler underscoring her pivotal contributions throughout the tournament. 

Notably, the seventh conference title for the bowling team is the first championship title for head coach Tiffany Clark, who is also serving her first year as head coach of the program.

The team, consisting of Moore, Gordon, Myers, Caroline Lewis, Skylar Alexander, Miranda Fuentes, and Chandler Townsend, will now wait to compete in the NCAA Regional Championships. The NCAA will announce participants and matchups on Wednesday, March 26.
