BATON ROUGE, La. - The Southern Jaguars women's basketball team is headed back to the NCAA Tournament as a No. 16 seed.
The Jaguars will travel to Los Angeles to play in a First Four game against 16-seed UC San Diego on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. The winner will move on to play top overall seed UCLA on Friday.
Southern is seeking its first NCAA Tournament game win.
This year’s appearance also marks the third time that the Jaguars have qualified for the Big Dance under head coach Carlos Funchess.
