BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Alabama A&M’s Kaila Walker, Texas Southern’s Courtlyn Loudermill and Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s D'Arrah Allen its SWAC Women’s Basketball Players of the Week for their impressive performances during games played this past week.
Player
Walker averaged an impressive 19.0 points per game this past week for Alabama A&M during games against Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman. She shot 48 percent from the field ranking first on her team in points and field goal percentage.
Impact
Loudermill was a key contributor this past weekend for TSU as she averaged a team leading 19.0 points per game while shooting 56 percent from the field.
Newcomer
Allen averaged 20.0 points per game this past weekend for Arkansas-Pine Bluff as the Lady Lions played road games against Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M.
